Happy Birthday!
The Cary Blanketeers celebrated three years and 1500 blankets at a luncheon on June 5. Members were challenged to design a special blanket for Project Linus around the theme "When I grow up, I want to be...." Occupations/careers/professions included: polar explorer, astronaut, hockey player, nurse, artist, music teacher and butterfly collector.
The Blanketeers meet on the first and third Wednesdays of
each month at a church near Crossroads in Cary. New members are always welcome.
For photos of blankets, patterns, and more than a few laughs, you can also find
the Cary Blanketeers on Facebook. For information about meetings, contact cyberpam@mindspring.com.
