More hurricane help
Our new Johnston County coordinators, Angel and Hailey, delivered 60 blankets of your blankets to people dealing with the effects of Hurricane Florence in Hampstead, NC. These folks have really been hit hard, so Angel was sensitive and did not take photos. Here is Hailey on their way to deliver your blankets.

Blanketeers are BUSY!
We have been busy delivering your blankets to a variety of places to help evacuees from Hurricane Florence. The trickiest part has been reaching the individuals, but we've done it and are still working on it. I'll update soon as to where your blankets are going to help children on our coast affected by the hurricane.
In the meantime, you all have really gone above and beyond in helping provide tag blankets for Haiti. They asked for as many as we could provide for children who did not receive much loving touch, and you responded with 1361 blankets!

And, just to top it off, you gave 120 blankets to seriously ill children at Camp Victory Junction.

Carolina Princesses made 611 blankets!

The Carolina Princess Program passed last year's mark by more than 100 blankets. The young ladies work on blankets all year long and they are beautiful. The pictures in my garage don't do it justice. The blankets are immediately picked up by Project Linus volunteers who sew a fabric tag on each one and get it ready for delivery. It's an incredible effort by these young women and their director, Lisa Messick. Thank you!!

THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped make our annual Make a Blanket Day on April 21 such a success.
On that one day, we delivered 680 blankets to Wake Med, Wake Med North, Social Services Adoption Forum and tornado victims in Greensboro. We made 324 blankets for deliveries in the next few weeks. Our raffle raised over $500, which will be used to buy fleece, yarn and fabric for more blankets!
Special thanks go to Deanna Winick, Janet Rapp, Diane Wallace and XFinigen Media for all of their hard work before and during the event. Here is a special video highlighting Janet:

Camp Victory Junction Acknowledgement

Each staff member was able to have a brick made on our Fan Walk here at camp.  I had a thank you brick made for the Project Linus Chapter of Wake County.  We just received the completed bricks and they were installed last week.  Attached is a photo of your group’s brick.  Thank you again for all your group does for our campers.  Each blanket is a small way they can take a little bit of camp home with them.  Your time, talents and contributions are greatly appreciated.
