Sew-In at Spoonflower on June 8

Sign up and join us for a Mini-MABD Sew-In on June 8th!
SPOONFLOWER INC. specializes in custom digitally printed fabric and is generously helping us create more blankets for Project Linus.  Spoonflower is donating 20 "cheater quilts” and other printed fabric to make quilts!  Check them out http://www.spoonflower.com/contests/154  Have fun exploring the amazing fabrics on their website.

Do you want to come and sew with us?  Please email Deanna Winick by May 8thdeanna.winick@gmail.com if you are interested. There is only room for 20 sewing participants for each shift. All you need to bring is yourself, your sewing machine (and basic notions) and a fun attitude!

If you would like to help out in other ways, please join us. We will need help ironing, cutting and assembling the blankets. There is plenty of room for our wonderful knitters and crocheters too! A circle can be formed like we do at our annual MABD.   *** Sorry, this is not an event to make fleece-tie blankets***

Thank You!

Thank you all so much for your support of Project Linus and our Make a Blanket Day. It was a beautiful, snowy day. We loved the new bright room at Exploris, and we produced 133 blankets for children in Wake County. Many thanks go to Deanna Winick for all of her hard work, as well as numerous other volunteers.
Our chapter has now delivered well over 25,000 blankets to seriously ill or traumatized children. That could never have happened without you. You have brought love, comfort and warmth to so many children.
We have a new Cary drop site. It is the Cary Quilting Company (previously Etc. Crafts) at 226 East Chatham St.
Thank you all,
Susie Holmes
Coordinator, Project Linus Wake County
