2012 Make A Blanket Day

Our annual Make A Blanket Day will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Join us in Venture Hall, located inside the Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at 201 East Hargett Street in downtown Raleigh.  Marbles Kids Museum has generously provided this space for us again this year.  Click here for directions and parking information.

Bring your sewing machine, crochet hooks, knitting needles, and supplies for making blankets--whatever you'll need to work on an existing project or start a new one.  Some blanket materials will be available (fleece, cotton, yarn, etc.), but fabric and yarn donations are happily accepted.  Yarn donations are especially needed, so if you have extra skeins in your stash please bring some to share!

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.  Handmade items will be for sale, with proceeds going to our Project Linus Chapter. Raffle tickets will be sold for this beautiful handmade quilt:

Water and snacks will be provided.  Pack a bag lunch, or eat out at one of the restaurants nearby.

If you would like to help set up or clean up, if your group would like to volunteer, or if you have questions or comments, contact Deanna Winick by email or phone (345-3576).
