A boy scout's successful service project provided our chapter with a large donation of blankets. After weeks of planning, preparation, and collecting materials, Nathan and his friends gathered on a Saturday to make blankets for Project Linus.
I'm Nathan Cowley from Scout Troop 831. For my Eagle Project I made 30 blankets for Project Linus. I decided to do my project through Project Linus because I wanted to do a project where a lot of people could participate and at the same time help a great cause. I want to thank all the members of my church and community who helped make it happen, and Ms. Holmes and Ms. Wallace for their support.
The Eagle Scout service project is Boy Scouting’s most
difficult advancement requirement. Only 5% of Boy Scouts attain the Eagle rank, which is the highest rank a scout can
achieve. Congratulations, Nathan, on your accomplishment. And thank you for providing these blankets
which will bring warmth and comfort to children in our area.
