Sofie H. planned her 13th birthday party around a
Project Linus quilt. First the girls had a tea at the Tea Room in downtown Wake
Forest, and then they returned to her house and each designed squares for the
quilt. Later, Sofie and her mother machine pieced the squares with a
coordinating sashing and finished with yarn-ties. Sofie, Kate, Grace, Trisha,
and Alex donated their quilt to Project Linus and hope it gives warm comfort to
someone who enjoys tea parties.
This is the second quilt that Sofie and her friends have donated to Project Linus. Her first quilt was made when she was 11.
